Established in 1998, Magnetite has develop a reputation in soundproofing and thermal insulation for existing windows. As Robert H. Shuller affirmed, "Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines". With this regard, we offer a range of product to suit your glazing project requirement such as Magnetite - retrofit double glazing, Soundtite – secondary window and door system, Solartite – high performance solar films and Sealtite – acoustic and weather proofing seals. Our secondary glazing systems are installed on the inside of existing window sill, creating an air cavity, the essence of double glazing. The air cavity can be customised to address your concern, whether it is noise reduction or thermal insulation. Generally, a larger air cavity means a better noise reduction.
With over 20 years of experience in the glazing industry, Magnetite has been involved in numerous hospitality upgrade projects across Australia and New Zealand. A recent project was at the Rendezvous Studio Hotel, which is located at a busy intersection on Sydney's George St, just opposite Central Train Station. While the location is convenient, the hotel received numerous noise complaints due to the high amount of traffic and pedestrian noise from the busy street. Despite having old secondary glazing in some rooms, the performance was not satisfactory, and this left management in a predicament until Magnetite was considered for 119 windows. After the installation, the feedback from staff and management was that there was a huge, immediate impact on noise complaints, so much so that they are virtually eliminated.
To diversify our services and assist hotels in providing excellent service to their customers with better thermal insulation and noise reduction, we are showcasing our solution based products at the No Vacancy Expo this July. Come and visit us to find which solution best meets your hotels needs.
