Sydney is generally considered to have a mild climate which allows us to often forget how cold our homes actually get. With most homes designed to stay cool in summer it means they are very hard to heat up during winter and often inside temperatures are colder than outside in winter. Generally, the biggest culprits letting the heat escape are windows and doors which can account for up to 49% of winter heat loss. Here are some easy ways to keep your home cosy this winter.

In 2018, 9.2 million overseas tourists visited Australia and it is projected to grow over 10 million this year. The rich art, multiculturalism and food not to mention the pristine beaches and amazing weather have provided a sensational experience for both local and international travellers for decades. The increasing number of tourists offers an enormous opportunity for the hospitality industry, creating a strong demand in Australia’s accommodation sector.

“Creating excellent customer experience” is one of key objectives for the hospitality industry, specifically for hotels. As customers' standard for "excellent experiences" is now higher than ever, it is not just a matter of free Foxtel or location that creates an excellent customer experience. Many hotels in busy major Australian cities such as Sydney, Perth or Melbourne have to contend with noise complaints from their customers, a by product of that excellent location. Noise from traffic, trains or passers-by can have negative impacts on customers sleep and comfort and can result in poor online reviews. As such, soundproofing has become one of the essential feature to look at when refurbishing or upgrading hotel rooms.
