125 private houses across Australia will be opening their doors this Sunday, 11 September for the 15th annual Sustainable House Day. Eco-interested visitors are invited to take a closer look at some inspiring properties that have upped the sustainable living ante.
These houses showcase various sustainable features including sustainable lifestyles, energy efficiency and healthy home practices. This national event provides opportunity for visitors to speak to and learn from homeowners on how to make their homes more sustainable.
This year, Magnetite is featured in the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton, NSW. The centre is a part of North Sydney Council which transform an ex-industrial site to a place where visitor can be inspired by sustainable living. This standalone house in the community garden showcases sustainability best-practice in everyday life. The house features a range of idea to make your home more sustainable. Magnetite retrofit double glazing was installed to demonstrate improved thermal comfort and energy saving.
