The former home of the National Cash Register Company was recently refurbished to house two of University of Technology Sydney (UTS) new courses, the Bachelor of Creative Innovation and Intelligence (BCii) and a Masters of Animation and Visualisation (MAV).
Level 3 and 4 of this UTS's heritage-listed building 15 was redesigned to be a large, modern open plan studio space. To provide a quiet and comfortable learning environment, Magnetite® retrofit double glazing was incorporated into this refurbishment project.
A total of 104 10mm-Magnetite® panels were retrofitted into wall of windows facing the busy Harris St & Mary Ann St, with a maximum air cavity for the best soundproofing result. The building will be ready for the autumn semester, in early March 2017.
