Your window installation is tailored to suit your needs, ensuring optimal performance and aesthetics. The air cavity is optimised to ensure we maximise the soundproofing, thermal insulation or both. Our custom window systems can be fitted to all types and shapes of windows and doors. Buildings may shift and move over time which means the windows will not be perfectly square. We achieve the best results for you by creating a custom window for your building. Often this will require minor adjustments onsite to ensure the best fit and results.

Custom-Made to Match Your Existing Windows and Door

Our systems are custom made to match your existing glazing function and design. Magnetite window installation can be designed to fit any fixed or moving panel windows including sliding windows, casement windows, double hung windows, awning windows, multi-pane windows, sliding doors and bi-fold doors.

Magnetite comes in three models to choose from to suit your existing windows or doors, the Magnetite Classic, removable panels which is ideal for double hung and timber windows, Magnetite Easyglide which is ideal for sliding windows and ease of use, and Magnetite Slider for larger windows and sliding doors.

Magnetite slimline frame is designed in a range of 6 colours to match any decor. The discreet framing and optical grade acrylic panels of Magnetite maintains the aesthetic of a window.

Soundtite can be designed to slide horizontally or vertically to match the existing aluminium window function and design. It comes in an aluminium frame which can be anodized or powder coated to match your existing aluminium windows.

As a member of the Australian Window Association our window installations comes with a 7-year warranty on workmanship. This warranty extends to our components so you can also be confident that the optical grade acrylic glazing will not yellow or craze and your view and natural light will be maintained.

Solartite works in conjunction with Magnetite to offer a solution for existing windows that need to reduce radiant heat. This way, you can avoid feeling too warm in your own home. Solartite is applied to the inner layer of the glass, making your living or working space more comfortable without having to increase the use of air conditioning. Noise Reduction Technical Data and Results

Proven Results

Noise pollution is one the biggest problems faced in the cities today, particularly in a high-density living. Unwanted noise can be responsible for sleep loss and lack of concentration. This can lead to a deterioration of health through increased stress levels, headaches, high blood pressure and loss of hearing.

Noise penetrates windows through leaky seals or vibrations through the window structure. To reduce noise, a window should minimise air infiltration, hold enough weight to limit vibration and allow a large air cavity. This cavity, or air gap, is the key to secondary glazing.

Expert Advice:

CSIRO Research by John Davy shown an air cavity can effectively enhance sound insulation performance. The larger the air cavity the more noise the window system can reduce. Results show a wide air gap of 100-125mm will improve sound insulation by an average of 7dB(A) more than windows with a narrow gap of 8-13mm.

The human ear is less sensitive to low frequency sound. According to a study released by the CSIRO, the human ear needs a change of 3dB to detect a difference in noise levels and the human ear perceives a change of 10dB as a doubling or halving of the noise level.

If you double the thickness of glass in a window the noise level will decrease by 3dB the least amount possible to make a difference. If the glass is laminated there is no perceived difference in noise reduction.

National Acoustic Laboratory Testing:

Working with the principles of noise transfer, Magnetite® and Soundtite are designed for high performance, which is achieved by combining air tight seals with the ability to maximize an air cavity and the flexibility to vary glazing thickness to suit. Magnetite® is excellent at reducing general noise such as busy roads, commuter trains and noisy neighbours. Whereas, Soundtite works well to combat low frequencies noise such as garbage truck, freight trains or airplane during take-off and landing.
