Orange City Council

Orange is a town in NSW that experiences extreme heat and cold. The City Council has taken progressive stance on climate change by addressing the energy efficiency of its buildings and the comfort of their staff.

In June 2005 Arup Pty Ltd. produced modeling for the addition of Magnetite retrofit double glazing to the Civic Centre.  This study demonstrated a  total energy savings potential of 13% simply by insulating the windows. With assistance from the Federal government Orange City Council proceed to retrofit all of the windows in the Civic Centre in August 2009.

The building remained operational during the retrofit project which took approximately two weeks. Our professional team of installers worked seamlessly around the council staff to ensure minimal disruption to their work schedules.
